The largest stadium in the beautiful port city of Rostov-on-Don, the Rostov Arena is equipped to seat up to 45,000 spectators. A state-of-the-art facility specifically built for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, it has witnessed an array of exciting matches held within its confines. Constructed by a multinational architectural firm known as Populous, the arena is known for its unique designs that feature asymmetrical roofs and stands. Unlike a lot of Russian stadiums, the Rostov Arena's playing surface is made of natural grass, which offers better ball control and grip for players. As its name suggests, it hosts home games for Russian Premier League team Football Club Rostov.
