Stadio Giovanni Zini opened in 1929 and is the home field of Unione Sportiva Cremonese, a reputed football club of Italy. It hosts football fixtures from time to time and has also been a host to international rugby fixture in 2013, which was held between Italy rugby Union and Fiji. The stadium is owned by the municipal body of Cremona and is surfaced with grass field.
