Established in 2006, Museum of Russian Icons is spread over three levels in a former mill building. The building houses the Center for Icon Studies and it is one of the only museums of its genre in the country. With more than 3000 icons and other collectibles on display, the museum houses one of the largest collection of icons outside Russia. They focus on Russian fine art and also have pieces which display the ancient cultures and traditions that existed in Russia. They have collections dating back to as far as the 15th Century and is open for research.
