Banchory is a burgh or town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, lying approximately 18 miles west of Aberdeen. Banchory is the largest town in the area and it has a High Street. There are a number of hotels and restaurants as well as sports shops, news agents and chemists. Salmon and trout from the River Dee in this area is available for a maximum of five rods, this can be arranged via the Banchory Lodge Hotel.
