Manor Road, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom, OX17 2SD
Sulgrave Manor is a mid 15th century manor house built by Lawrence Washington who was a wool trader in Northampton and a great grandfather of George Washington. The manor was in ruins until it was refurbished in the 20th century. It is a unique property shared equally by United States and England. Hence, you will see both the country flags hoisted in front of the house. While the village of Sulgrave where the manor house is located is also worth visiting as you can explore some period cottages, a parish church, a memorial site and the beautiful gardens.
