Alan Doyle was the co-founder, guitarist and lead singer of the Canadian folk-rock band, Great Big Sea. Although he is a guitarist first, Doyle plays multiple string instruments like the bouzouki and the banjo. Apart from the Great Big Sea, he has also been a part of the band Staggering Home. He has composed music for multiple projects like the sitcom Hatching, Matching and Dispatching, the movie Young Triffie's Been Made Away With. Alan Doyle has also been associated with Russell Crowe and his bands having co-written and produced some of their songs. His first solo album Boy on Bridge came out in 2012. The second and third albums, So Let's Go and A Week at the Warehouse soon followed with the later hitting the market in 2017. Doyle has also penned books titled Where I Belong and A Newfoundlander in Canada: Always Going Somewhere, Always Coming Home. "I've Seen a Little," "The Night Loves Us" and "Summer Summer Night" are some of his well-known singles.
