The full name of this club is actually Haagsche Football Club Alles Door Oefening Den Haag, which is the Dutch way of saying this squad from “The Hague gets everything done through practice”. Since the club’s foundation in 1905, the team changed its initial name from ADO to FC Den Haag in 1971, then finally in 1996 to ADO Den Haag. In the course of the club’s history, ADO had won the Netherlands Football League Championship twice in 1942-43, the Eeerste Divisie three times (1957, 1986, 2003), and the KNVB Cup twice in 1968 and 1975. The team plays its home games at Kyocera Stadion which holds a capacity of 15,000.
