The City of Prague's philharmonic orchestra is conducted by Friedemann Riehle and is known for its popular New Years events where the orchestra plays familiar pieces from some history's more well-know composers. Through the year the orchestra licenses popular film scores and pop music material to be released on albums dedicated to those respective artists or films. Some theatrical titles the Philharmonic have covered include Titanic, Dr. Strangelove and Zulu while popular music covers include Sting's "Fields of Gold" and Coldplay's "Yellow."
