Tim Allen is a comedian an actor who rose to fame for his role as Tim "The Tool-Man" Taylor on ABC's Home Improvement, from 1991 to 1999. His career as a comedian began as dare to participate at a comedy club in Detroit, where he was immediately offered gigs for commercials and cable comedy shows. After moving to Los Angeles and beginning his role on Home Improvement, Allen's career took off with his first feature film, The Santa Clause in 1994, and his first voice-over as Buzz Lightyear in the debut Disney-Pixar feature film, Toy Story in 1995. Over the next two decade, he maintained a steady career in film and comedy with his quick wit and family-man appeal, staring in two Toy Story sequals and returning to television in 2011 to star in ABC's Last Man Standing. Allen has been recognized with a Golden Globe for Best Actor in 1995, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has been named a Disney Legend for his work with Toy Story and The Santa Clause series.
