Jeffrey Osborne

Jeffrey Osborne is an R&B vocalist from Providence, Rhode Island who owns a contemporary funk sound. After spending time as the drummer and then lead vocalist of L.T.D. along with brother Billy, he left the group to pursue a solo career and dropped his eponymous debut album in 1982. The record spawned two hit singles and set Osborne up for a successful solo career. Though his mainstream successes were limited to the 1980s, he went on to work with prominent artists including Whitney Houston and Dionne Warwick, and would continue to release music into the 21st century. Osborne dropped his eleventh studio album From the soul, in 2005.
