Saara Sofia Aalto is a Finnish singer-songwriter. Her time on the The Voice of Finland and The X Factor (UK), where she was appreciated for her graceful delivery, brought her into the limelight. Born in Oulunsalo into a musical household, she received piano lessons as a kid and began writing songs at the young age of five. At 11 years old, one of her original works won her the Kotka Maritime Festival song contest. She continued receiving a formal education in music while in secondary school and later moved to Helsinki to further her training. She starred in several musicals of the Helsinki City Theatre while in her twenties and self-published two albums in 2011. That same year, she represented Finland at the Eurovision Contest, where her rendition of her original songs, "Blessed with Love," won her second place. While on The Voice of Finland, she performed songs like "Taking Chances," "True Colors," "Barracuda," "Over the Rainbow" and "I'm Gonna Be Strong" and placed second. The multilinguist found great success in China, where she sang Mandarin versions of her compositions, opened for legends like José Carreras and issued the Mandarin album Ai De Zhu Fu. Her third album, You Had My Heart, dropped in 2013 and spent over 40 weeks on Finnish charts. She subsequently released many more albums that have helped add to her ever-growing fan-following. Among her most popular tracks are "Monsters," "Dance Like Nobody's Watching" and "Dance!!!"
