Jesse Marchant, who performs under the moniker JBM, is a Montreal-born, Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter. A multi-instrumentalist, JBM writes dark folk songs that incorporate the ukulele, guitar, piano and harmonica. Generally full of emotionally vulnerable lyrics, some of which touch on his time spent trying to become an actor in Los Angeles, JBM's music grabbed the attention of Partisan Records and won him opening spots for fairly prominent bands on the indie rock scene, including Sondre Lerche, A.A. Bondy and Rogue Wave.
