Scottish born Edwyn Collins was the founder and front man of indie cult band Orange Juice in the 80s. After struggling to find a label that would sign it, Orange Juice disbanded and Collins began his solo career in 1989. In the 90s, the pop-rock musician was met with UK/US success when his song "A Girl Like You" was used in both Empire Records and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. From there Collins continued to release successful albums and tour fairly extensively. Collins suffered a double brain hemorrhage in 2005, but has since recovered and is making music again. His recovery was documented by the BBC in Edwyn Collins: Home Again.
