Featuring
The Isle of Wight festival is the stuff of legend. The original event was held annually from 1968 to 1970, the years that played a pivotal role in shaping rock music as we know it. The inaugural festival had Jefferson Airplane, the second one Bob Dylan, and the third and most glorious one had an attendance of 600,000 (bigger than Woodstock!) and a lineup that included Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, The Who, and The Doors. The festival was revived in 2002 and had its venue changed from the original Isle of Wight to Seaclose Park. Keeping the brand strong, the organizers invite the biggest legends in the world of music, up to The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and Paul McCartney. In short, everything about the Isle of Wight festival is grandiose. It's perfect for those who want to hear the most popular rock hits. Dance music acts are also featured.
