Sean Paul was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1973. He began playing a cheap keyboard when he was 15, which only laid the groundwork for his later career. In 1996, he released is first single, "Baby Girl (Don't Cry)." With the track, he rose to fame seemingly overnight in Jamaica. Paul then gained worldwide acclaim with his debut album Stage One. His Jamaican dancehall style has made him an international hit.
