Eric Nam is a Korean-American K-pop and R&B artist hailing from Atlanta, GA. South Korean Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) invited him to Seoul to participate in a televised singing show, after a YouTube cover of his went viral in 2011. He finished among the Top 5 of the competition and was signed on by B2M Entertainment in 2012. Following the release of his debut EP Cloud 9 in 2013, Eric had a brief stint as an MC on Korean shows and interviewed many international celebrities. He returned to music in 2014 with the singles "우우 (Ooh Ooh)" and "Melt My Heart" and performed at the Seoul Jazz Festival alongside Damien Rice, Paolo Nutini and more. His 2016 performance at SNL Korea received one of the season's highest ratings, and his first US single - a collaboration with KOLAJ - "Into You" peaked at number one on Hype Machine. The same year saw him headline KCON at New York and Los Angeles, be named GQ Korea's 'Man of the Year' and collaborate with Grammy-award-winner Timbaland on the song "Body." He was included in Forbes '30 Under 30 Asia' list in 2017, and was an Honorary Ambassador at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.
