Description

Classes are scheduled individually per day.

Classes will run for 25-minutes to allow for a 5-minute transition.

Instructors will be teaching primarily from the pool deck. An adult from the same household as the participant may provide in water support assistance during the lesson to the participant if they are unable to swim unassisted.

Each student will be assigned a designated lane to allow for social distancing.

An appointment is required to enter the building. Spectators are not allowed. To request an accommodation, please e-mail parks@covingtonwa.gov at least 72 hours prior to the first day of lessons.

Facemasks will be required for all participants at all times in the facility except while in the shower or in the pool, unless otherwise allowed by law.

Locker rooms will be one-way travel.

Participants may not enter the facility more than 10-minutes prior to their scheduled water time.

Participants may not enter the locker room until cleared to do so.

Participants should arrive in swimming suits.

Participants may remove their outer clothing in the locker rooms and shower, but all belongings should go onto the pool deck.

Showers are required prior to entering the pool, but no showers will be available after exiting the pool.

A Safety Briefing prior to your first day of class will be required and a waiver must be signed by the participant or a parent/guardian (for minors).

Or maybe you would like to improve one of your strokes? Try private lessons. Our highly motivated, friendly, American Red Cross instructors are able to adapt their instruction to suit your needs. Private diving lessons are also available. For quality and safety, all our instructors are certified Water safety Instructors and Lifeguard.
