Candlebox is an alternative rock band from Seattle that formed in 1990 as Uncle Duke. The band began making music in the middle of the grunge movement, and despite criticisms from other grunge acts that Candlebox had jumped on the bandwagon, it's debut album sold over four million copies. After two less successful releases, the band went on a hiatus in 2000 only to reunite in 2007 for a three-month North American tour and for its 2008 album Into the Sun, which demonstrates a post-grunge sound.
