The Paperboys is a folk ensemble from Vancouver that creates Celtic folk music blended with bluegrass, soul and country. With founder, Tom Landa, as its only original member, the band is often billed as Tom Landa and the Paperboys. The band is known for creating poppy songs with a world music edge shaped by its African, Mexican and Eastern European musical influences. The Paperboys released its debut album, Late As Usual, in 1995, and took home the Juno Award for Best Roots & Traditional Album for its 1997 album, Molinos, which earned the band critical acclaim for its consistently catchy hooks. Having played some of the world's biggest venues and folk festivals, the band has brought its energetic live performances to Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, the US, Norway, the UK, Ireland, France and Austria.
