New date:
In the 1990s Lollapalooza was a touring festival that traveled across the United States and featured a variety of influential alternative music acts. The event fizzled out later in the decade, but was resurrected in 2005 as a destination festival with a permanent home in Chicago. The 2010s were marked by Lollapalooza's "going global"--the festival expanded into Chile and Brazil. The events' lineups always include internationally known rock, pop, hip hop, and electronic dance music stars as well as popular local acts.
