Born in the U.S. but raised in Zacatecas, Mexico, José “Pepe” Aguilar is a Mexican/American pop singer and songwriter of ranchera style. Son of Mexican icon Antonio Aguilar, Pepe has been influenced and supported by his parents to start singing at an early age, reaching the stage for the first time at the age of three. At the beginning of his career, he was influenced by progressive bands such as Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull. Later, he turned to traditional style with pop influences and became a strong identity in the Latin scene.
