The Flamenco Society of San Jose will host “Summer Juerga” (Flamenco Jam Session) Evolving from the interactions of many cultures, flamenco is an art form that grew from Andalusia, a province in southern Spain. Inhabiting the area for centuries, the unique interplay among Moors, Jews, Andalusians, and Gypsies has shaped this most expressive and culturally rich folkloric genre of song, music, and dance. Featuring musical arrangements composed of dance, song, guitar, and percussion, highlighting the passion and beauty of flamencos. Showcasing a great cast of flamenco artists; Koko de la Isla, dance – Virginia Juan, singer – Alberto Marques, guitarist. It all happens at the Historic Hoover Theatre in San Jose.
