Punk and new wave classics have been getting a bossa nova make-over from French band Nouvelle Vague since 2004. Originally a project started by Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux, the two producers feature a variety of female vocalists who bring a fresh perspective to nostalgic songs. The group has expanded its influences, and has even interpreted American country and bluegrass music, building a truly diverse repertoire.
