After relocating from his native Puerto Rico to Chicago in the early 1980s, Carlos Sosa discovered house music and immediately found himself hooked. Absorbing all the house culture the city had to offer, Sosa frequented club nights and dug through the records of house pioneers, eventually donning the name DJ Sneak and beginning to produce his own breed of house music. The result has been a funk-infused style of hard-hitting disco house, which DJ Sneak has continued to create after almost three decades of performing. Calling himself the "house gangster," DJ Sneak now owns his own record label and can still be found DJing at many international festivals.
