The Museum of Craft and Design (MCD) presents Designing Change: An Evening with Roman Mars.

Roman Mars is the host and creator of 99% Invisible, a radio show about unnoticed architecture and design that shape our world. With over 360 million downloads, 99% Invisible is one of the most popular design podcasts in the world. MCD welcomes Roman Mars to Minnesota Street Project for a live multimedia event examining the unnoticed design that shapes our world. Following the lecture, there will be a private reception and meet and greet with Mars at the Museum of Craft and Design.

MCD’s Designing Change series focuses on the ability of creative individuals to inspire meaningful change for themselves and their communities. JoAnn Edwards, Executive Director notes, “We have been inspired by Roman Mars’ insightful and fascinating storytelling, shedding light on the “invisible” world of design. It was a perfect fit to invite Mars to speak about the unsung creators whose designs have revolutionized modern life.”

Designing Change: A Evening with Roman Mars is generously supported by Brookfield Properties Pier 70, Minnesota Street Project, and IDEO U. It is presented alongside MCD's exhibition "Dead Nuts: a search for the unlimited machined object", on view at the museum through December 1, 2019.
