Long Island, New York five-piece Mr. Twin Sister (formally Twin Sister) is one of the many bands contributing to the chillwave movement. Formed in 2008, the group has since honed its hazy electropop tinged with nu-disco to a well-produced, smooth sound. Fronted by the cutesy, tattooed Andrea Estella, who provides soulful, dreamy vocals, and backed by a fairly diverse group of young men, Twin Sister is able to use its diversity to its advantage, incorporating a variety of influences into its music and therefore making it stand out amongst the slew of other chillwave outfits.
