Each autumn, San Diegans participate in this celebration to honor hometown military personnel. Countless events are held throughout the extra-long 'week' including the wildly popular MCAS Miramar Air Show. In addition, the historical Star of India makes a sailing expedition throughout the San Diego Bay. Another popular event is the Sea-n-Air Parade, where military vessels and aircraft parade throughout the bay. Viewers line the Broadway Pier and Navy Pier to watch the extravaganza. Admission prices and credit card acceptance vary by event.
