Frank Boeijen is a Dutch singer and guitarist. Born in Nijmegen, he grew up in a family of ten children and was introduced to the music of Bob Dylan and Neil Young by his older brothers. After graduating from high school, Boeijen formed a duo with guitarist Wout Pennings and released an album in 1978, with Rob de Nijs serving as producer. Drummer Henk Wanders and bassist Nels Busch were roped in to play with the duo during its live gigs. Pennings left the group following artistic differences, Wil Theunissen was brought in to replace him and thus the Frank Boeijen Group was formed. After spending over a decade with the band and releasing a plethora of albums, Boeijen decided to embark on a solo career. He continued to work with his former collaborators and performed to sold-out crowds in both, the Netherlands and Belgium. His work over the years includes the albums Heden, Schaduw Van De Liefde, As, Camera and Land Van Belofte. His most popular tracks are "Zeg Me Dat Het Niet Zo Is," "Paradijs," "Kronenburg Park," "Aan De Bezitters Van Een Ziel," "Koud In Mijn Hart" and "De Ontmoeting" and more. He was awarded the Edison Award for his career achievements in 2005.
