This is by far the "coolest" place to be in April. For more than half a century, the University of Nevada at Reno has hosted one of the largest jazz competitions in the country. Vocal ensembles, big bands and jazz combos from junior high and high schools compete for coveted honors. The three-day event features all day competitions, clinics and nightly jazz concerts. Individual as well as group passes are available.
