Black metal outfit Wolves in the Throne Room is the project of brothers Aaron and Nathan Weaver. The Olympia, WA-based band is known for its nature-based interests such as radical ecology and bio-dyamic farming, and for covering topics unusual to the black metal genre. Wolves in the Throne Room's commonly used themes and rejection of traditional black metal characteristics like corpse paint and Satanic imagery has sparked critics to describe the band's sound as "organic metal." The band is known for performing and recording all of its material, including its 2006 debut album Diadem of 12 Stars, with vintage amplifiers and equipment. Wolves in the Throne Room released its fourth studio album Celestial Lineage, in 2011.
