Belle of Amherst is a one woman play that's based on the life of poet Emily Dickinson. Set in her Amherst, Massachusetts home, the play uses her poems, diaries and letters to create a narrative that centers around the difficulty of her seclusion and the rare moments when she was able to experience some sense of joy.
