The Arizona Diamondbacks are a Major League Baseball team and a member of the National League West Division. The Diamondbacks entered the league in 1998 as an expansion team. In just their fourth season, the D-backs won the World Series, becoming the fastest expansion team in MLB history to do so. The Diamondbacks beat the New York Yankees in seven games, scoring two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the decisive game.
