Stage antics and performance ability are rare commodities amongst many of today's modern indie rock acts. This is why it's so refreshing to see a band like King Khan and the Shrines incorporate uncouth elements into its live show like cheerleaders, scantily clad musicians, playful stage banter and often dangerous stage stunts. The group was formed in Berlin, Germany (by Canadian musicians) in 1999 and has garnered a reputation for being one of the best throwback garage rock n' roll acts of its day, always rocking, always swearing and always cranking out quality music.
