Featuring: Bert Keely and Izzy Tanenbaum

Join Bert Keely and Izzy Tanenbaum for a deep dive into the music of Stevie Wonder, with an emphasis on Izzy’s own arrangements of classic melodies. Bert Keely wears many musical hats...most recently he's been making waves as a jazz multi-instrumentalist weaving trumpet, guitar, and vocals “all in service of the tune”. More info at:

Israel "Izzy" Tanenbaum grew up playing piano in Puerto Rico, and has led a remarkable life performing, arranging and producing latin jazz and other genres throughout the Americas. As featured pianist in Pete Escovedo's band, he’ll be performing all three nights this weekend - Thursday is the night to experience his personal artistic vision! More info at: This performance will feature the marvelous Tod Dickow on sax, KCSM’s own Chris Cortez on drums, Charlie Channel on upright bass, and Mio Flores on congas, plus a special dedication to the Wong brothers Herb and Woody. Both were mainstays of the Bay Area jazz community (Herb as prominent critic and radio host, Woody as pro-bono dentist to many jazz stars). Woody passed earlier this year, and we must do our best to sustain the spirit of these two! _______________________________________
