The Union City Society for Historic Preservation is holding a one day workhop in Union City, Michigan at Riverside Cemetery on June 19th, from 9-5pm. Attendees must send payment by June 5th to reserve a space in the workshop. There are limited spaces available.
In case of rain or inclement weather, June 26th is the back up date.

The six do no harm methods that will be taught are: Cleaning, leveling, epoxy work, resetting a multi stone monument, creating a slotted base and infill repair. These techniques have been vetted by the CCUS (Cemetery Conservators for United Standards).
Attendees will be provided with all the supplies needed to work on the headstones. They must be at least 16 years of age and wear comfortable clothing. Bug spray is recommended and lunch will not be provided. There are many fine establishments in the area and we will provide a one hour lunch break.
Snacks and water will provided. Please wear comfortable and supportive shoes, that are not open toed.
