Italian crooner Giovanni Truppi revels in the simple pleasures of pop music. Sung in his native language, his songs are unabashedly peppy and sugarcoated morsels full of keyboards, horns and some rock instrumentation, such as guitar and drums. On top of it all, Truppi often sings in a drawn out, dramatic style that resembles that of one of those swanky lounge singers. Some may find it all a bit cheesy, but Truppi has enjoyed moderate success in his home country.
