Harvey is a 1944 play by Mary Chase who would go on to receive the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the play in 1945. Initially premiering on Broadway at the 48th Street Theater, it would close nearly five years later after 1,775 performances. The story centers around an affable man who claims to have an unseen (and presumably imaginary) friend named Harvey who resembles an anthropomorphic rabbit.
