Polly Paulusma

London-based folk music singer/songwriter Polly Paulusma spent her twenties earning a PhD and trying her hand at writing novels before finally giving into her musical abilities. Though she wrote her first song at the age of ten she didn't lay down her first album until she was 28 years old. She self-produced and self-recorded her 2004 debut album Scissors in my Pocket, which earned Paulusma a time slot at the 2005 Glasonbury Festival and supporting gigs for artists such as Coldplay. She expanded her audience by offering two tracks, "Over the Hill" and "She Moves in Secret Ways," as free downloads on iTunes and soon became an internationally recognized indie folk artist. She released her second studio album Fingers & Thumbs in 2007 followed by 2012's Leave From the Family Tree.
