Weird is often the first word used to describe Black Moth Super Rainbow. The band's sound is a mix of swampy analog electronics, along with experimental and psychedelic pop that often catches people off guard--as do lead singer Tobacco's altered vocals and creepy stage presence. But the musical staying power of the band lies in the group's eccentricities (sometimes there will be a costumed performer onstage with the musicians, Tobacco occasionally lies down on the stage when he performs, retro instruments are used to extremes) and it seems the stranger the group is, the better it sounds.
