Since being formed in 2001 the Montreal-based band Arcade Fire has managed to grow into an act that has been heralded by many as one of the more important groups of its generation. Led by chief singer/songwriter Win Butler as well as an assortment of musicians, Arcade Fire released its debut album, Funeral, in 2004 and the LP was met with immediate praise, helping lift the band to a prestigious pedestal in the music world. Building a strong name for itself with rousing live shows that capitalize off the revival nature of the band's performances, Arcade Fire has continued to stay relevant in the modern music scene with impressive album releases that manage to distinguish the band and help it remain a favorite among fans and critics alike.
