Colin Quinn CANCELLED
[]
Known for his blue collar brand of comedy, Colin Quinn is a stand-up comedian and television personality who broke into the mainstream comedy circuit in 1987 as the co-host of MTV's game show Remote Control. After his three-year run with the show, he spend most of his time developing material for sketch comedy shows such as In Living Color, and collaborating with other up and coming comedians including Ben Stiller on the music video short Going Back to Brooklyn. Quinn secured a spot as a writer and player on Saturday Night Live in 1995 and eventually becoming a full-time performer in 1997. While perfecting his improvisation skills with characters such as Joe Blow and on the segment "Colin Quin Explains the New York Times," he made his Broadway debut on the one-man production, Colin Quin: An Irish Wake. After leaving SNL in 2000, he was featured on several television series including Comedy Central's Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn, though non of the programs lasted. He has found most success during his stand up performances, such as his 2010 Broadway show Colin Quinn Long Story Short, a satirical breakdown of the history of the world in only 75 minutes, which he recorded for an HBO special the following year and took to other stages across the country.
