Based around a grammar dispute between one half of An Horse, Kate Cooper, and her neighbor about whether or not "an" is correct before a hard H sound, An Horse became a band in 2007. While working together in a record store in Brisbane, Australia, Cooper and Damon Cox began rehearsing together in the store after hours, eventually putting together an EP. Receiving generally positive acclaim, the duo was asked to tour with Tegan & Sara in the US and Deathcab for Cutie in Australia. With its alt-pop, An Horse continues to tour and record today.
