Comedian Rich Aronovitch began his stand-up career in New Orleans under the moniker Smooth Daddy Johnson. After graduating from Emory University and relocating to New York City, he honed his improvisation and sketch comedy skills with several different comedy troupes including Rathskellar and Dirty Knees. Aronovitch founded his own improv group in 2001 named Jambalaya and began performing his brand of stand-up comedy nationally and internationally at venues such as Nadison Square Garden and The Grand West Casino in Cape Town, South Africa. He has since appeared in several television programs including Three Men and A Chick Flick and Last Comic Standing.
