In these hands-on art workshops, students ages 6 to 12 explore various craft traditions in creative ways. Each workshop will have two age groups and will include gallery visits, lunch time in the Museum's Sculpture Garden, and art projects inspired by the works on view.Single workshop: Members $50. Non-Members $60Series of four: Members $175, Non-Members $215July 20 - Fantastical Textile Worlds: Create shadow boxes with fabric, year and other textile materials, inspired by Jeila Gueramian's installation, Let's Step Inside.July 27 - Reimagined Architecture: Construct architectural and geometric forms using wood and paint, inspired by Remy Jungerman's sculptural works.August 3 - Unconventional Weaving: Experiment with unusual looms, paper weaving, and found materials to create woven artworks in response to works by Faig Ahmend and Dinh Q. Lê.August 10 - Shadows and Patterns: Explore designs and patters with projects including cut-paper light installations and mosaic artworks, as seen in the work of Anila Quayyum Agha and Shirin Hosseinvand.Advanced registration strongly suggested.
