Peter Cincotti is a jazz vocalist and pianist based in New York City. Earning early acclaim for his musical endeavors, Cincotti performed at the White House while still in high school, and won an award at the 2000 Montreux Jazz Festival for his version of Dizzy Gillespie's "A Night in Tunisia." While Cincotti's eponymous 2003 debut album featured traditional jazz standards, his 2004 follow-up record, On the Moon, offered some original compositions. Prior to the release of his 2007 effort East of Angel Town, Cincotti had teamed up with producer David Foster to create an album of all original work with pop/rock leanings. From blues to funk and pop to heart-wrenching ballads, Cincotti has built a reputation based on his emotionally powerful voice.
