Amanda Leigh Moore, who is popularly known as Mandy Moore, is an American pop singer and actress. Even at a young age, Moore spent a lot of her time in acting and singing at local theaters and events. Her music career began in 1999, with the release of her debut single, "Candy." The track catapulted this teenager from Nashua, NH into popularity. The song was ranked at 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and presented Moore with many opportunities. Even with just one song under her belt, she was performing with some of the biggest boy bands at the time - NSYNC and Backstreet Boys. From 2001 to 2009, four of Moore's albums became highly successful.
