David Archuleta was born in Utah in 1990 and was only 16 when he won second place on the show American Idol. He sings pop songs that are heavily produced and mainly feature electronic instrumentation. In 2008 he took America with his vocal abilities in his self-titled debut. Because of his Mormon upbringing, Archuleta will only sing lyrics that feature family friendly content and will oftentimes change certain lyrical content to fit his personal aesthetic. Some songs he has been known to cover in his live set (in addition to playing his original material) are "We Can Work It Out" by The Beatles, "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond and "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" by Elton John.
