Seattle in the early 90s was a glorious place. Everyone was wearing plaid with ripped jean shorts and listening to the city's homegrown rock genre: grunge. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, et al. were all part of this scene and these bands infiltrated the public's consciousness in a big way. Over in Germany during this time, certain bands were being directly influenced by the grunge scene and were making music that was a clear reflection of that. One of these German bands is Selig. The group was one of the more interesting European grunge acts and despite calling it quits in 1999 the band decided to reform in 2008 to unleash its characteristic style of German angst ridden music to the masses.
