Originally an illustrator, French-born Françoiz Breut was persuaded to sing vocals on a few tracks for her then fiancé and French pop star Dominique A. Realizing her talent, Breut set about recording a solo record, with songs she arranged and wrote entirely herself. Winning the acclaim of many critics, Breut went on to release multiple followup albums and began collaborating with prominent musicians like Yann Tiersen and Calexico. With lyrics sung in English, Spanish and French, diverse French pop arrangements with nods to Latin folk and ambient electronics, Breut creates truly unique music that is both impressive and enjoyable.
