Of all the female singer/songwriters that emerged during the mid-1990s, few are more respected or revered than Tori Amos. Born in Newton, North Carolina in 1963, Amos started playing the piano at the ripe age of four and during her formative years studied at various music conservatories, honing her skills and learning about the rich depths of music composition. Her first album, 1992's Little Earthquakes, established Amos as a premier musician whose adept strength on the piano is equally matched by her vocal prowess.
